Transferring designs from the computer to the workpiece has always been a topic of great interest to many engravers. The computer can expedite the layout of lettering and be used to scale and print images and other designs. Getting them from the printout to the workpiece is half the battle, so engraver Waldemar Schmidt put his medical research talents to work to write a ten page article for iGraver and the engraving community. I believe this is the most comprehensive study of computer transfer techniques known to man, and Waldemar assures me that he's still experimenting and that the document may be updated periodically.

Many thanks to Waldemar for his hard work and willingness to share with others.
